Welder - Metal Tech
About the role
As a Welder at Jensen Infrastructure, you will apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair metal parts and assemblies, as specified by work orders or production drawings. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you’ll primarily work with a small team of machine operators and welders.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate metal parts and assemblies by cutting, burning, and welding various metals using welding machines, oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, and hand and power tools.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment when certified.
- Inspect completed work to ensure conformance to specifications, including dimensional accuracy, squareness, and weld requirements.
- Perform first-part approvals on new tasks to ensure quality standards are met.
Requirements
You’re motivated, reliable, and take pride in doing quality work. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring hands-on welding experience along with a strong understanding of tools and precision measurement. You prioritize safety and hold your work to a high standard. You can read and interpret production drawings, set up welding equipment, and consistently monitor the quality of your work.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of welding experience
- Some coursework after high school (preferred)
- Certified Welder (preferred)
- Forklift Certification (preferred)
