Welder IV (1st Shift)

Responsibilities
- Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
- Plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
- Performs minor maintenance on equipment.
- Assumes responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.
- Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Manual and machine TIG/MIG welding skills.
- Understanding of measuring devices and ability to read blueprints.
- Experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Knowledge of welding machines and setup.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Physical demands include prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of welding experience.
Skills
- Strong understanding of TIG/MIG welding procedures & processes.
- Basic math skills for conversions and calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols.
- Ability to perform welds that pass visual and destructive tests.
- Ability to use measuring tools and operate hand/air tools.
