Welder IV (1st Shift)

Responsibilities

• Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
• Plans details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
• Performs minor maintenance on equipment.
• Assumes responsibility and care of assigned tools and equipment.
• Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Manual and machine TIG/MIG welding skills.
• Understanding of measuring devices and ability to read blueprints.
• Experience working with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Knowledge of welding machines and setup.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Physical demands include prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• Two-year vocational welding program or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of welding experience.

Skills

• Strong understanding of TIG/MIG welding procedures & processes.
• Basic math skills for conversions and calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and AWS welding symbols.
• Ability to perform welds that pass visual and destructive tests.
• Ability to use measuring tools and operate hand/air tools.
