Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using various methods such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete work accurately.
- Cut, shape, and assemble stainless steel metal parts according to instructions.
- Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Set up welding equipment and maintain tools in safe, working condition.
- Select appropriate welding materials and consumables for each job.
- Operate basic hand and power tools for preparation and finishing tasks.
- Maintain inventory of welding materials and report shortages.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe work environment.
- Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Participate in safety training and maintain compliance with welding certifications.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and job progress.
- Report completed work and any issues or defects to supervisors promptly.
- Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and production team members.
- Assist higher-level welders or technicians as needed for complex tasks.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress and challenges.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of welding techniques and processes (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following procedures.
Required EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of welding experience.
- Desired completion of a welding training program or vocational certification.
