About the role
Welders join metal parts using high heat application to form permanent bonds. Responsibilities include operating welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials, planning work by interpreting blueprints, determining welding position and type of metal to be fused, selecting and setting up welding equipment, and ensuring welds meet standards and specifications.

Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year welding experience
- AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Certificate or Associate degree in welding
Qualifications
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of quality assurance and self-inspection techniques
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Team orientation
- Crane operation experience preferred, but not required
- Forklift operation experience preferred, but not required
Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Schedule
Full Time | 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 500am - 130pm

Job Conditions
- Subject to inside environmental conditions

- Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
