About the role

Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and perform shop math to layout, fabricate, and weld various parts and assemblies.
- Perform welding procedures as per AWS and ASME publications for MIG and STICK welding (SMAW) on multiple types of metals in various positions.
- Use grinder, sander, rivet guns, saws, and other air tools; read English and imperial tape measures; and measure in fractions to decimals.
- Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, burn-through, and weld spatter, lack of fusion, and craters.
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Maintain a safe work environment and perform routine maintenance on welding equipment as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Two years of experience in welding using MIG or TIG welding machines.
- Must pass and maintain in-house AWS Welder Certification.
- General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
Physical Demands
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to work with arms above head.
- Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.
- No known allergies to smoke, grinding, and fiberglass dust.
- Ability to work in 105-degree heat for extended periods.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
