About the role

Welder I - Wrap Shift (Fri/Sat/Sun 6am-6:30pm)

Location: 10511 Washington Church Rd Miamisburg, OH 45342

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 6 months+ of hands-on experience in welding and fabrication applications: cutting, welding/brazing, drilling, marking/engraving, welding of dissimilar metals (a plus)
• Proficient in welding safety, weld filler selection, weld processing parameters, fixturing
• Familiarity and experience with metallurgy, weld joint analysis, backing gas applications
• Strong cognitive and clear communication skills emphasizing attention to detail
• Self-motivated, able to lead projects to completion with minimal oversight, and demonstrate significant problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised while prioritizing tasks

Key Duties

• Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
• Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
• Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
• Notifies Team Leader when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
• Performs other related duties as assigned including Machine Operation.
• Performs Quality Control and process all required documentation.
• Performs Prep work and grinding.
