Position Summary
As a Welder you will be responsible for performing high mix/ low volume manual TIG welding of Stainless Steel and Aluminium in a high-quality medical device manufacturing environment.
Schedule
Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm and Friday 7:00am-11:00am
What You Will Do
- Set-up and operate TIG welding equipment using prescribed methods and procedures to weld parts within acceptable tolerances and standards.
- Build weldments through manual layout and manual surface prep processes when required.
- Read and interpret welding blueprints including standard welding symbols, travelers, and other work instruction documents.
- Positions parts to be joined using fixtures and other holding or positioning devices.
- Use required measuring instruments and gages to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
- Assist in problem solving activities
- Complies with all quality standards.
Required Experience, Skills and Abilities
- High School or GED
- 1 year of Welding experience which may include a completed certified welding program.
- 2 years of experience working in a solid metal fabrication / machining environment required.
- Other Vocational/Technical-Completion of welding training program
- Welding experience in flux core, MIG, stick, carbon steel, preferred.
- Able to use prescribed manual processes in TIG welding of stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
- Able to read and interpret welding blueprints, including all standard welding symbols.
- Able to use precision measuring instruments and gages.
- Strong math and troubleshooting proficiency and basic computer skills.
- Basic welding inspection knowledge and conduct visual inspection.

Pay
Pay range for this opportunity is $22.34/hr - $24.28/hr. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
