Welder I

Description

For offers extended on or after July 1, 2026, a sign-on bonus of $2,000 is available. This includes $1,000 after 90 days and $1,000 after 180 days of successful employment.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Set up and perform welding per prints including (spot welding, robotic welder and MIG welding)
• Enter work order data required for labor reporting into the computer system
• Use inspection equipment and review blueprints to ensure work is meeting or exceeding quality standards
• Maintain a clean workstation and production floor
• Work in a manner that emphasizes safety of self and others
• Follows all health and safety policies and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience And Skills

• High School diploma or GED
• Proven experience reading blue prints and using inspection equipment/measuring devices
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques
• Previous experience with computer skills such as typing, printing and data entry
• Ability to use math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Preferred Education, Experience And Skills

• Excellent communication skills and a high degree of responsiveness and empathy for internal and external customers
• Preferred metal fabrication and welding background
• Prior work experience with JDE/Oracle in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a high variety, low to mid-volume manufacturing environment

Compensation & Benefits

• The starting pay rate for this position is $21.50 per hour
• We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location

• Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
• Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
• Must be able to bend and stoop for 7+ hours per shift
• Must be able to stand for 6+ hours per shift
• Must be able to walk for 6+ hours per shift
• Must be able to reach and grasp up to 6+ hours per shift
