Key Job Responsibilities

  • Welds metal parts together on subassembly and production lines using the metal core GMAW (gas, metal arc welding)
  • Interprets and reads drawings to ensure proper weld sequencing and weld sizing to complete work
  • Inspects work and related work of others and reports any defects or discrepancies to supervision immediately
  • Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding
  • Operates overhead cranes, Jib cranes, or forklifts safely in order to move and set large parts to machine or fixture

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year welding experience required. Welding certification preferred
  • Must be able to use a variety of hand tools, power tools etc.
  • Some standing, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Must be able to lift a maximum of forty pounds
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Must project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees, and the Company
  • Incumbent may be required to work overtime as required to meet schedules
  • Must comply with all environmental, quality, and safety rules, practices, and standards
