Welder I
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components, consistently achieving deep penetration and clean, professional beads.
- Set up and tack weld assemblies using fixtures and jigs.
- Remove burrs, slag, and spatter using manual grinding and sanding tools to ensure a high-quality finished surface.
- Operate manual and semi-automatic cutting and pre-heating torches, as well as manual plasma cutters to prep materials for production.
- Operate manual drilling press using fixtures to accurately locate drilled features.
- Safely operate forklifts to transport raw materials and completed weldments throughout the facility.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols regarding heavy machinery and high-heat equipment.

- Basic understanding of machining centers controls and applications (i.e. HAAS & Okuma)

- Must be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
- Must be able to stand for long periods and work in a space that lacks climate control.
