About the Role
If you're looking to build a career in welding, this role provides hands-on experience with fabrication pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural components while working alongside experienced professionals. At Calgon Carbon, you'll develop valuable welding skills, contribute to products that support air and water purification systems, and play an important role in maintaining a safe, high-quality manufacturing environment. This is hands-on, high-skill welding - not light fabrication or bench work.
What You’ll Be Doing

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience welding (ASME code welding is preferred)
- High school diploma or GED is required (Associates degree is preferred)
- Ability to pass on-site weld qualification testing
- Ability to read basic instructions and drawings
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and documentation
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
- Reliable attendance and teamwork mindset
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: Day and afternoon shift rotation (details reviewed during interview)
- Overtime opportunities based on business needs
Pay & Benefits
- Starting at $23.07/hour with a structured wage progression program that provides opportunities for scheduled pay increases
- Shift Differential: Additional $3.00 per hour for qualifying shifts
- Retention Bonus: $500 after successfully completing 9 months of employment
