About the role
The Welder I position is an entry-level role under the supervision of the E&A supervisor or group leader. This position involves performing all necessary functions to maintain a clean and safe shop, complying with company policies and safety procedures, and executing various welding tasks using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform tack welding and finish welding of piping systems utilizing SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding procedures.
- Comply with ASME code welding requirements.
- Weld vessels and structural components using SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding processes.
- Inspect own work to ensure compliance with drawings and weld procedures and make necessary repairs.
- Operate fork trucks, jib cranes, and overhead cranes after training.
- Assist in other areas of the plant as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Two to three years of welding experience.
- ASME code welding certification is preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Skills
- Knowledge of SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding procedures.
- Ability to follow ASME code welding standards.
- Good physical condition to perform manual labor.

Pay
Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Mondays - Fridays, 40 hours per week - 3 shift operation.
