Welder - Full-Time

Role Overview

The Welder is responsible for performing welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks to support metal recycling operations. Key duties include MIG and stick welding on carbon steel, torch cutting, fabricating and repairing containers, hoppers, guards, and structural components, and repairing processing and mobile equipment. The role requires adhering to safety standards, maintaining organized work areas, and documenting repairs accurately.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2-5 years of welding experience
• Proficient in MIG and stick welding
• Knowledge of heavy gauge steel welding
• Technical certification or trade school training preferred
• Welding certifications and MA 2A1C Hoisting licensing are a plus
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures

Work Environment & Responsibilities

• Operate safely in outdoor industrial settings, exposed to noise, dust, weather, and varying temperatures
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working on uneven ground
• Support preventive and emergency maintenance, modify equipment for safety or efficiency, and coordinate with operations to minimize downtime
• Use PPE consistently and follow all safety protocols
