Responsibilities
- Experienced with shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), flux cored arc welding (FCAW), and tungsten inert gas welding (TIG)
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on civil construction projects
- 4+ years’ experience in welding preferred
- Appropriate pipe certifications
- Familiarity with shop fabrication techniques and strategies
- Experience using a cutting torch
- Must pass a 6G position welding test for carbon steel pipe
- Knowledge of Process Piping Systems/Isometric Drawings
- Comfortable working in the prefabrication shop as well as out in the field
Qualifications
- General knowledge of construction principles/processes required
- Proven commitment to Safety and building relationships in a team setting
- 6G Pipe Certified
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on construction projects
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Knowledge of aspects of surface preparation, electrode storage, welding machine set up, etc.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on construction projects
- Self-motivated
- Proven commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Ability to work in fast paced work environment with multi trade work activities at the same time
