Welder/Fitter

• Work in a team environment
• Strong blue print reading skills from shop drawing or engineered drawings
• Strong knowledge of fit-up procedures
• Strong knowledge of weld symbols, using CWB procedures
• Strong knowledge of fitting small and large weldments using layout tools and fixtures
• Read and understand measuring instruments (ie. tape measure, square, level, etc)
• Ability to detect weld defects and non-conforming parts
• Know how to operate and set up MIG welding equipment
• Valid CWB tickets are an asset or be willing to test to earn CWB tickets

• Saw cutting operation
• Pipe bender operation
• Stick welding (SMAW)
• Cutting torches/hand held plasma
• Experience maintaining industrial equipment
• Fork truck operation
• Overhead crane operation

• Some heavy lifting required
