Welder / Fitter
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Company needs 1st shift set up welder/fitter/fabricator. 1st shift Fitter pays $26-$28/hour, 2nd shift Welder/Fitter pays $27-$30 plus shift premium. Fitter A would lay out, fabricated fit up and tack weld. Excellent, long-term position (temp-to-hire) for experienced fitter/welder. Medium to heavy plate steel welding. Set up from prints, medium to heavy gauge weldments, open table .052 and 3/32 flux core and metalcore FCAW welding. Large industrial equipment and machinery experience in fitter/welder/fabricator. $26-$28/hour.
OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years fit up and welding/building rock crushers, road pavers, silos, bins and hoppers, crushing and screening systems, large conveyors and heavy material handling equipment.
- Direct industry experience.
- Blueprint reading required for the fitter position.
- MIG, .035, Flux core, 3/32nd, 1/16th and .052 Set up from prints, medium to heavy gauge weldments.
- Operate cranes and lifts.
