Welding and Fabrication
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
- Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and handle metal shaping and cutting.
Inspection and Quality Control
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct tests to determine weld quality and strength.
- Repair or rework defective welds.
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure a safe work environment.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of welding tools.
Collaboration
- Work with other fabricators, engineers, and project managers to meet production goals.
- Communicate clearly about project status, issues, and solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder (2+ years preferred).
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MIG, arc welding, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A professional certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) is a plus.
