Welder - FASS-MW

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel members using MIG (gmaw) wirefeed processes
• Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures
• Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements
• Follow proper safety instructions
• Work in a team environment
• Perform other duties as needed by supervision

Job Requirements/Special Skills

• Specific Structural Welding Skills: Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8“ material
• Good verbal communication skills with other employees
• Positive attitude
• Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
• Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
• Ability to read blueprints

Physical Skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
• Ability to work from heights utilizing ladders and lifts
