Welder Fabricator

Essential functions

• Comprehend and follow blueprints in accordance with required specifications
• Plan and layout raw material, plates, angles, channels, tubing, pipe, etc. in accordance with specifications where close tolerance (+ or -") using blueprints, sketches, or written/verbal instructions
• Perform minor adjustments to machines as needed
• Perform rigging, lifting and moving of product using cranes, forklifts, etc.
• Abside by all plant safety rules and regulation and possess thorough understanding of these rules
• Operate an assortment of fabrication machinery or equipment, i.e. drill press, drills, hand grinders, hand plasma cutter, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

  Required competency, education, and experience

  • For experienced candidates, 5 years of experience is ideal. Entry level candidates should have some basic knowledge of welding/fabrication
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to use a computer to read and understand prints
  • Must be motivated and work well by yourself and as a team
  • Must have willingness to learn and grow with the department

  Position type and expected hours of work

  Full time- first shift. 7 am to 5 pm.
