Welder/Fabricator

About the Role

NETZSCH Pumps USA, a global leader in Progressing Cavity Pumps, is seeking a skilled welder to join our team in Houston, TX or Exton, PA. This role involves interpreting blueprints, planning layouts, and executing welding procedures to meet specifications and standards.

Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan layout and determine correct welding procedures.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
• Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead).
• Ensure welds meet specifications and standards and participate in quality inspections.
• Troubleshoot welding problems and identify solutions.
• Maintain and ensure proper operation of welding equipment.
• Assist with growing the fabrication department, making recommendations as necessary.
• Communicate with factories in Germany or Brazil to gain knowledge on in-house fabrication processes.
• Assist with other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder.
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and online portals.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Competence in using various machine and hand tools.
• Efficient time management and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurement, calculation, and execution.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand and walk.
• Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
