About the Role

Lift Solutions and CapCo Crane & Hoist are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team. Lift Solutions delivers end-to-end industrial lifting solutions, including OSHA compliance inspections, crane equipment, aftermarket services, and parts for overhead cranes, rigging, and lifting equipment. CapCo Crane & Hoist designs and builds custom overhead bridge cranes and lifting equipment for diverse industries, including aerospace, maritime, nuclear energy, and concrete. This role offers exciting challenges and the opportunity to work on innovative, state-of-the-art projects.

Responsibilities

• Layout and manufacturing of electric overhead bridge cranes.
• Perform welding tasks on steel, aluminum, and other metals using processes such as GMAW, SAW, and FCAW to meet precise quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate custom parts and assemblies for overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
• Assemble fabricated components into final products, ensuring structural integrity and alignment.
• Inspect and test welds and finished products to ensure adherence to safety standards, specifications, and quality control requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabrication equipment and tools.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations in the fabrication shop or on-site.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and identify solutions to maintain workflow and quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for layout, cutting, and shaping various metals.
• 3+ years of experience as a welder and fabricator in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) and metalworking processes.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow OSHA guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
