About the role

Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan layout and assembly operations
  • Utilize MIG and TIG welding skills to produce high-quality welds in various positions
  • Maintain quality and accuracy in work
  • Operate safety equipment and power-assisted tools
  • Assist in the preparation, loading, and unloading of high-speed watercraft

Requirements

  • Robust skill set in welding, fabrication, and fitting
  • Familiarity with standard build practices in manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge and expertise in aluminum welding
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures with limited supervision
  • Effective communication skills for clear information exchange
  • Strong mathematical abilities for task understanding and problem-solving
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternative solutions
  • Time management for task prioritization
  • Physical stamina for grasping, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and navigating tight spaces

Qualifications

  • A Weld Certificate or technical education preferred
  • Candidates must pass a qualification test

Schedule

Position requires working in an indoor and heated shop, with physical requirements including grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity. Must be able to work in tight spaces and operate manufacturing equipment. Work may occur in areas not environmentally controlled and involve moving, lifting, pulling, pushing up to 50 lbs, and navigating high-speed watercraft in variable weather conditions.
