Brief Description
As a welder/fabricator, you will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and building and bridge parts, according to blueprints and knowledge of welding and metallurgy.
Qualifications
- Certified Welder, (MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Experience welding stainless steel
- Experience in an industrial chemical environment strongly preferred
Additional Functions
- Monitor and maintain building systems as assigned
- Execute various minor construction projects as required
- Maintain equipment & clean around workstations
- Interface with supervisor &/or manager to give progress updates as required
- Able to work outdoors in the elements
- Able to work in tight spaces – physically able to climb up and down safely in proximity of manufacturing and process equipment
- Elevated work > 4’ – fall protection required

- Able to arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift
- Able to follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site
- Able to understand and follow instructions from the direct supervisor
