Welder/Fabricator

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities

• Follows all corporate safety guidelines
• Operates saws, shears, cranes and other shop equipment as needed
• Fabricates, welds, grinds and burns numerous types of metals
• Maintains shop floor organization and cleanliness
• May go on service calls that may sometimes require an individual to stay out of town for a short period (service calls pay additional wages per hour as an incentive)
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Skills & Requirements

• Strong fabrication background
• Experience with welding, burning and equipment operation
• Willingness and ability to work on various types of equipment that would, at times, not require any fabricating
• Willingness and ability to occasionally stay out of town for short periods of time
• Willingness and ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week on average
• More fabrication skills than welding skills

Education & Experience

• 2-5 years of structural and miscellaneous fabrication and welding experience
• AWS D1.1 Certification

• Reach with hands and arms
• Talk or hear
• Occasionally stand, walk, stoop, and kneel
• Lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
