About the role

NABRICO Marine Products is searching for an Expert Welder in their Caruthersville, MO barge plant. This position involves leading a team of welders to achieve production goals, following welding procedure specifications, performing various types of welds, inspecting welds, adhering to safety protocols, and participating in safety committees.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of welders to achieve production goals.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Proficiently perform flat (1F), horizontal (2F), vertical (3F), and overhead (4F) fillet welds.
• Proficiently perform flat (1G), horizontal (2G), vertical (3G), and overhead (4G) groove welds.
• Inspect your own welds to ensure all quality requirements are met.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 or more years of FCAW weld experience.
• Leadership skills.
• Understand weld layout and processes.
• Must satisfactorily pass vertical and overhead fillet welding as well as groove welding tests using manual and semi-automatic welding processes.
• Must demonstrate ability to carbon arc gouge and use the oxyfuel cutting process.
• Must be able to inspect own finished welds to meet quality standards.
• Must be able to perform welding work while wearing all required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a filtering face piece and/or tight-fitting respirator.
• May require working above ground (15 ft or more).
• Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects, comfortable with heights.
• May require working in narrow or confined workspaces for extended periods of time.
• May require extensive kneeling, bending, walking and/or standing for long periods of time.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
