About the role

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cut pipe sections using table or jig saw, then set up lay-up sections.
• Weld pipe using MIG/ARC welding equipment and techniques.
• Complete projects using manufacturing work orders and/or verbal instructions.
• Locate materials to complete projects.
• Use verbal or written instructions from work orders and collect materials for processing.
• Cut pipe using pipe cutting equipment.
• Lay out pipe sections on a jig or table and weld with MIG/ARC welding equipment and techniques.
• Apply cold galvanizing solution to protect welds.
• Perform visual inspections on completed work to ensure quality.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other warehouse and gate fabrication duties as required.
• Work overtime as needed.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of welding experience with MIG and ARC.
• Experience working with hand tools.
• Able to lift and move heavy materials (up to 75 lbs).
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
• Ability to perform layouts using jigs.
• Ability to work around heat and chemicals.
