Welder Certified 1st shift Rhino
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with others and be self-motivated to maximize production.
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Operate and read all measuring devices.
- Organize and set up work.
- Stand constantly, walk occasionally, bend frequently, squat occasionally, and reach forward frequently.
- Sustain and repeat these motions while maintaining safety habits.
- Prepare the welder safely for operation.
- Use safety glasses and welding helmet when engaging in actual welding activity.
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance and use proper body techniques for lifts.
- Welder is exposed to heat and fumes.
Position Requirements
- 2 years welding experience preferred.
- Ability to use MIG/TIG welders to join metal to close tolerances.
- Ability to read and interpret complicated shop drawings.
- Understanding of standardized welding symbols used on shop drawings to convey method of welding.
- A strong mechanical background and ability to use simple math with both decimals and fractions.
- Must wear safety protective equipment at all times.
Qualifications
- Requires ability to use MIG/TIG welders to join metal to close tolerances.
- Varieties of metals may be required, some of which are galvanized steel, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel.
- Requires ability to read and interpret complicated shop drawings.
- Understands standardized welding symbols used on shop drawings to convey method of welding.
- Strong mechanical background as well as ability to use simple math with both decimals and fractions.
- Must wear safety protective equipment at all times.
