The Welder is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention.

Essential Functions Of The Job
- Focus, communicate, adjust and operate welding equipment to perform non-critical welds on fabricated parts and subassemblies.
- Maintain production quantities, efficiencies and quality on parts welded.
- Load fabricated parts or subassemblies into jigs and fixtures.
- Prepare the surface to be welded by grinding, buffing or brushing so the weld can be performed.
- Visually examine welds for adherence to blueprint specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and make adjustments on equipment to prepare it to weld different parts or subassemblies when changing from one part to the other.
- Load and unload fixtures.
- Perform simple measurements using devices or gauges to check work.
- May skip weld designed parts to secure pieces for other welders.
- Perform all other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (KSA’s)
- Ability to understand and follow simple instructions.
- Capable of performing standard measurements.
- Knowledge of basic procedures of mig welding required.
- Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to speak, hear and see to perform duties to communicate and build subassemblies.
- Must be able to demonstrate required knowledge and ability to read blueprints with weld symbols and specifications.
Education And Experience
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 months to 1 year experience in welding required.

- Must be able to stand approximately 8 hours per day.
