About the role
This position is for applicants with 0 to 3 years of welding experience, including entry-level candidates.
Responsibilities
- Welds together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions.
- Utilizes knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, including specifications of welding equipment.
- Performs welding on butts and bulbs in all positions, ensuring compliance with Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) test methods.
- Conducts tank testing and associated duties as required.
Requirements
- Ability to pass a welding test in overhead and vertical positions based on certifications being sought.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a welder or vocational training is acceptable.
