Welder/Brazer II - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

About the role

This role requires a U.S. Person and is located at RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company. The position is a 2nd shift position with hours of 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM (with weekend overtime required).

Responsibilities

• Set Up and Operate Welding Equipment
• Execute manual, semiautomatic, mechanized, and automatic GTAW welding operations on various thin-gauge materials including 4130 steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium.
• Inspect and Repair Welds
• Follow Safety and Compliance Standards
• Support and Train

Requirements

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• 1+ years GTAW welding experience and/or 1+ years welding fabrication experience.
• Associate’s degree in welding or a certificate from a vocational/technical Welding program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years GTAW welding experience of material less than 1/16”.
• Familiarity with AWS D17.1 Welding Code.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting.
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
