About the role
WIN Waste Innovations is a waste management company committed to delivering essential waste management solutions. This position involves performing repairs and maintenance on waste containers and vehicles, with duties varying by site.
Responsibilities
- Performs repairs and maintenance on front and rear load, and roll-off containers.
- Cuts and welds repairs to vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, rails, and fabrication.
- Grinds metal parts after welding.
- Welds steel and aluminum components using MIG, TIG, and arc welding equipment.
- Bends steel components using a brake and shear.
- Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
- Fabricates steel components on trucks and containers.
- Installs lids and wheels on containers.
- Paints repaired and/or new containers.
- Performs on-site repairs at customer locations.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures.
- Completes required paperwork.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Maintains a positive work environment by acting and communicating professionally with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 75 pounds.
- Climb into and out of equipment.
Requirements
- One year of welding experience.
- Use of computers to update assigned work orders.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred: Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
