Waltonen is actively seeking a Welder to join our team! Job Responsibilities Report to Independence Tooling Operations ManagerComplete all welding requirements for various projects, mainly for the automotive, aerospace, defense, and energy sectorAnalyze prints and CAD to properly fit up, tack, and weld for GTAW/Tig and GMAW/Mig processesBe comfortable welding both aluminum and steelFabricates components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces; setting up and measuring assemblies; selecting appropriate methodsUnderstand various techniques, best practices, and what supplies and gasses to use as neededBe able to clean, prepare, cut, measure, and keep your workspace orderly for each projectComplete in-process and pre-weld inspection checklistCreate and/or follow required process documents- welding procedure specification (WPS), Procedure Qualification Record (PQR), Weld maps and charts, weld continuity log, etcMaintains a safe work environment by following procedures; and complying with legal regulationsBe prepared to have some of your work inspected by a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), along with complete required repairsBe prepared to earn operator certifications for at least GTAW Aluminum and GMAW Steel, with other certifications as requiredBe prepared to use a HiLo and crane- instruction and certification will be supplied Qualifications 2+ years experience with TIG Welding and FabricationBasic understanding of prints and GD&TExperience performing equipment maintenanceExperience using power toolsKnowledge of basic safety practicesAbility to lift 25+ poundsWillingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloadsStrong analytical skills & an interest in problem-solvingMust be dependable in performing job-related tasks, finishing assigned projects & meeting deadlines Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision InsurancePaid Time Off and Holiday payEmployer matching 401KOvertime Pay: Time and a half after 40 hoursTuition ReimbursementFlexible Spending Programs (FSAs)Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insuranceEmployee Referral ProgramAdditional Voluntary Benefit ProgramsOff-site company events & Employee Luncheons Who are we?
