Welder

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Welding of aluminum, carbon and stainless steel
• Cutting torch operations
• Reading and following blueprints and drawings
• Using tape measure
• Performing welding procedures, including fabrication and assembly
• Complying with WN welding procedures and engineering drawings
• Performing preventative maintenance of welding machinery
• Adhering to the general safety plan
• Performing other duties as requested by supervisor

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Basic reading, writing, and verbal skills
• Knowledge and training provided by Wabash National
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment

Working Conditions/Environment

• Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations
• Exposure to extreme conditions at job sites with high noise levels
• Work in small spaces and frequently lift/carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entirety of their shift

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entirety of their shift
• Full range of motion in arms and hands
• All welders must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees
• Good hand-eye coordination
