- Assemble, align, square, and tack weld a variety of complex subassemblies and assemblies.
- Utilize blueprints, measuring tools, fixtures, templates, clamps, jacks, and related equipment to ensure proper alignment and assembly.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals and alloys as required.
- Produce high-quality welds that meet structural, pressure, and cosmetic specifications.
- Inspect completed work to verify adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience is required, along with at least one (1) year of formal welding training or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience welding stainless steel is mandatory. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, and have experience using hand tools, grinders, air tools, welding machines, measuring instruments, and related fabrication equipment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work are essential. Certification Requirements: Must successfully obtain ASME Certification upon completion of company-provided training and must maintain ASME Certification throughout employment.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally (floor to waist), up to 50 pounds frequently (floor to waist), stand, walk, bend/stoop, squat/kneel, lift, participate in two-person lifting tasks, use assistive devices for lifting, pushing, and pulling, including hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists.
