Welder

Key Responsibilities

• Fit, tack, and weld steel parts to create finished sub-assemblies, following blueprints using FCAW & GMAW.
• Perform welding on steel ranging from thin gauge material to 1" plate.
• Prepare weld joints by cleaning and setting up surfaces, adjusting machine parameters, and selecting proper welding techniques for each project.
• Produce high-quality, visually acceptable welds that meet all inspection and quality standards.
• Safely use and maintain welding equipment, and follow safety rules for overhead cranes, forklifts and other machinery.

Qualifications

• Ability to weld in all positions, flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Read 1/8” and 1/16” gradations on tape measure.
• Experience with grinders, handheld plasma torch, oxyacetylene torch, and other related handtools.
• Capable of welding to 3G certification (AWS D1.1).
• Experience with computer-based drawings and schematics preferred.
