About the role

This position is responsible for using fabrication tools such as plasma cutters, stud guns, welders, overhead cranes, and forklifts. Welding tasks include Flux core, stick welding, vertical up welding, overhead welding, out-of-position welding, and arc gouging. The role involves maintaining internal quality standards, ensuring compliance with all safety factors, and meeting daily/weekly production output goals. Additional duties include straightening sheet metal, plasma cutting, fitting parts, and performing repair work. The position also requires elevating complex issues (e.g., unusual nameplates, testing challenges) and supporting monthly operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication tools including plasma cutters, stud guns, and welders
• Perform various welding techniques: Flux core, stick welding, vertical up welding, overhead welding, out-of-position welding, and arc gouging
• Use overhead cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently
• Maintain internal quality standards and ensure compliance with all safety protocols
• Meet daily and weekly production output targets
• Straighten sheet metal, plasma cut, fit parts, and perform repair work
• Elevate complex issues such as unusual nameplates and testing challenges
• Support monthly operational goals
• Assist team members in resolving questions
• Maintain professional language and conduct at all times

Requirements

• Welding experience (a welding test will be required before employment)
• Torching experience
• Good mechanical skills
• Cooperative attitude toward all internal and external customers
• Dependable and strong work ethic with a commitment to safety
