About the role
In the Welder position you will play a key role in delivering high-quality structural steelwork, applying your expertise and commitment to safety in a busy, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning welding sequences and delivering high-quality MIG Welds, single and multi-run fillet welds, as well as partial and full penetration butt welds.
- Reading and interpreting welding procedure data sheets and specifications.
- Inspecting and identifying welds using operator ID codes and carrying out repairs when required, all while meeting tight production deadlines.
- Using pre- and post-heating equipment safely and efficiently.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience in structural steelwork welding.
- Skilled in working to recognised fabrication standards with a high level of precision and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety practices.
- Experience in operating heating equipment and overhead cranes safely and effectively.
- Relevant welding qualifications or coding's in welding (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds).
