Welder

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team in Plattsburgh, NY. This role focuses on high-quality arc welding on stainless steel using MIG/MAG methods, pre-welding assembly, and maintaining robotic equipment in a factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc welding on stainless steel using MIG/MAG methods.
• Execute pre-welding assembly, tack welding, and instructed manufacturing tasks.
• Set up, inspect, and maintain welding equipment and robotic tools.
• Provide technical guidance to junior welders.
• Conduct visual inspections of welds and ongoing quality checks, including self-inspections.
• Identify parts and report deviations or quality concerns to the Team Lead.
• Handle and store raw materials and finished goods properly.
• Execute operations according to work instructions and MRP-driven schedules.
• Pack finished products, parts, or vehicles for shipment, completing tally sheets as required.
• Prepare and maintain clean, safe production areas adhering to 5S, ESD, and EHS regulations.
• Maintain special process qualifications as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional welding experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Assembly experience is preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of a practical Weld Testing evaluation.
• Arc Welding Certification (from AWS, SENAI, or an equivalent body).
• Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and STICK welding processes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain site-specific Special Process Certifications:
  • Torquing (required for all operators)
  • Crimping (electrical)
  • Riveting (trained and certified operators only)
