Roles And Responsibilities

• Applies appropriate welding and assembling applications in a fabrication environment and processes metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Works according to the layouts, work orders, and blueprints
• MIG and TIG welding equipment; will need to lay out and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies of some material; will also need to position pieces to be welded into jigs and fixtures using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications
• Observes all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records
• Works in a safe manner as outlined during training and uses prescribed safety equipment including PPE
• All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

Requirements

• Successfully pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Minimum 3 years experience in a steel or industrial manufacturing setting preferred
• Extensive MIG welding experience, TIG welding experience preferred
• Forklift and overhead crane experience
• Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
