About the role

We are seeking a Welder to join our Maintenance team at our Pueblo, Colorado location. As a welder, skilled in the craft of welding and fabrication, you will provide necessary support to all areas of the mill in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Read prints, plan work, procedures and techniques
• Obtain and move materials, tools, and equipment
• Operate all equipment needed to complete the job
• Direct others in conditioning and preparation
• Observe lockout procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and assist Maintenance personnel
• Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as required
• Additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Associate Degree in welding or have completed a welding apprenticeship
• Minimum 1 year experience in fabrication and welding; structural experience and certification preferred
• Valid Colorado driver’s license
• Competent in manipulating numbers, quantities, shapes and spaces; able to take precise measurements and calculate necessary dimensions
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time when given multiple tasks
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of personnel
• Physical ability to climb, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, make repetitive motions, hear, etc.
• Ability to constantly exert forces up to 50 pounds and frequently exert forces up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, push and pull
• Ability to work in inside, outside, and adverse environmental conditions with elevated noise levels and physical hazards

Qualified candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency through testing.

Pay

$29.79 per hour (shift differential available)
