Robinson Helicopter Company, located in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Welder in our Weld Bay Department. This is a full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime. Essential Functions & Competencies

• TIG welding of aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings by means of TIG welding in all positions including the use of rotary turntables for welding.
• Setup machines according to work instructions to trim, size, form, inspect, and GTAW (TIG) weld materials to meet drawing requirements.
• Inspection of welds for accuracy, an inspection of root side weld defects, visual weld inspection using fillet weld gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and final weld fixtures.
• Weld inspection for weld size, face, and root reinforcement, cracks, inclusions, and porosity.
• Proficiency in pre-heating and post-heating of weld elements.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances. Drawing review for compliance for final dimensions, weld note callouts, base material, and filler material selection.
• Basic mathematic skills including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for calculating material fabrication.
• Regular and predictable attendance.

Pay Range

$22.00-$26.00/hour
