We are looking for a Welder to join our Colton, California plant. As a welder with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications. Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment to assemble and weld cages, ensuring they meet required specifications and quality standards.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately assemble cages according to design specifications.
- Select and prepare materials for welding, including cutting, fitting, and positioning components.
- Utilize various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding, to join metal components securely.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
- Maintain and perform routine checks on welding equipment to ensure it functions properly.
- Work in coordination with other team members to achieve production goals and timelines.
- Maintain records of completed work and any necessary documentation for quality control and production tracking.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Perform any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area.
Requirements
- Great work ethic and impeccable attendance.
- Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work outdoors or in an open-air environment.
- Preferred: Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred: Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used.
- Must be able to push or pull a cart with 80 pounds of force.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to step up 20 inches.
