About the role

RL Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented TIG Welder / GTAW Stainless Steel Welder to join our production team. The primary effort for this position will be to support production of LM2500 enclosures for U.S. and foreign navies.

Responsibilities

• Support production of LM2500 enclosures for U.S. and foreign navies
• Work on stainless steel materials using Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
• Focus on workmanship, weld quality, safety, inspection readiness, documentation
• Follow approved procedures and project requirements

Requirements

• Experience with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) on stainless steel materials
• Pass required classroom training
• Pass a written exam
• Pass a hands-on GTAW weld qualification test consisting of a GTAW 3G vertical-up double V-groove test plate using 3/8 inch thick 304 stainless steel
• Pass both visual inspection and bend testing

Qualifications

• Current or future qualification requirements may include NAVSEA (Naval Sea Systems Command) Welder, NAVSEA Level 1 NDT Operator and NAVSEA Level 2 NDT Inspector
