About the Role

Intermediate to advanced welding position focused on quality welding, fabrication, fitting, and finishing. Responsibilities include weld preparation, manufacturing components, assembling parts, and finishing components to specified tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Performs all necessary welding techniques to quality standards.
• Sets up welding equipment for various welding types.
• Reads and understands blueprints for material selection, measurements, and weld types; performs work to specified tolerances.
• Handles and prepares raw materials for fabrication as needed.
• Uses hand tools for manufacturing customer orders.
• Ensures work areas are clean and orderly.
• Complies with all safety rules and regulations, including:
  • Following all written safety procedures, policies, and work practices.
  • Reporting incidents (injuries, illnesses, near misses, property damage, chemical spills, fires) to a Team Lead immediately.
  • Participating in safety meetings, training, and committees.
  • Reporting hazards, unsafe conditions, or unsafe behaviors to a Team Lead.
  • Intervening with co-workers when unsafe behaviors are observed.
  • Conducting required inspections.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by Team Lead.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Welding or Fabrication from an accredited technical college, or 1–3 years of equivalent welding/work experience preferred.
• Previous mechanical, manufacturing, or construction experience is ideal.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to demonstrate basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
