Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components and assemblies (12–20 gauge).
- Select appropriate welding procedures and techniques to ensure proper penetration, fusion, strength, and alignment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication prints, production orders, bills of material, and process sheets.
- Fit-up parts using clamps and fixtures; maintain dimensional accuracy and alignment; spot weld/tack as required.
- Weld and assemble parts into sub-assemblies or complete assemblies.
- Inspect work for accuracy and quality prior to moving to the next step of manufacturing.
- Support other shop areas as needed (flexible team environment).
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings/blueprints.
- Strong working knowledge of welding equipment, welding procedures, material characteristics, and basic metallurgy.
- Proven TIG welding skill and familiarity with basic fabrication equipment/machines.
- Ability to weld 12–20 gauge stainless steel with consistent quality.
- Flexibility to work 1st shift, Saturdays, and overtime when needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years welding experience (required)
- 2+ years TIG welding experience (required)
- Stainless steel welding experience (preferred)
- Trade school certification and additional (welder certification) knowledge is a plus
