Welder

About the role

Ellwood Texas Forge Navasota is seeking a welder for an immediate need. This position rotates between 1st and 2nd shifts.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld die by flooding or overlaying impressions and stick weld any undercuts.
• Gouge cracks and damaged surfaces from dies for patch welding and place them in furnace using crane.
• Trouble shoot MIG welding machine and perform routine maintenance.
• Operate crane / furnace safely and keep areas clean.

Requirements

• Knowledge of steel alloys.
• 1-2 years’ experience or education.
• Osha safety a plus.
• Use of hands to handle or operate objects, tools, controls.

General Skills

• MIG welding.
