Responsibilities
- Fabricate stainless steel equipment used in food processing in a dynamic, high-energy production environment.
- Use blueprints and engineering drawings to fit and weld assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Operate gas torch and plasma equipment, overhead cranes, and pneumatic hand tools such as grinders.
- Use fixtures, templates, stops, and/or guides in welding processes.
Requirements
- High school education, community college weld program, technical weld school, or equivalent experience.
- Three years’ experience in welding fabrication.
- Basic GMAW and GTAW abilities.
- Experience in MIG, TIG, and TIP/TIG welding.
- Competence in reading and fully understanding manufacturing drawings.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and contribute to team performance.
- Confidence with measurements, tolerances, and both imperial and metric systems.
- Position is contingent on successful completion of weld written and practical tests.
Preferred Skills
- Skills in all forms of GMAW welding.
