Welder

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The Welder position handles Highland Refrigeration’s needs for fabrication/welding of pipes and fittings.

Responsibilities

• Layout and fabrication/welding of pipe and fittings.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures, bringing problems to the attention of the Safety Director.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance and a motivated, positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent, or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• SMAW-1 or GTAW-4 Welding Certification.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items for extended periods of time.
• Effective communication skills.

Pay

The Pay Range For This Role Is 30 - 35 USD per hour(WA Office)
