Welder

About the role

Fuse aluminum, steel, and stainless parts together using MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes. Perform all types of weld joints in all positions. Interpret drawings for welding requirements, design and build fixtures, and construct multi-piece structures of difficult complexity by measuring, locating, clamping, and welding per print. Maintain and repair welding electrodes and gas for MIG and TIG welding. Make minor adjustments and operate the Robotic Welding Machine. Comply with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless parts
• Execute all types of weld joints in all positions
• Interpret drawings to determine welding requirements
• Design and build fixtures
• Construct multi-piece structures by measuring, locating, clamping, and welding parts according to prints
• Maintain and repair welding electrodes and gas for MIG and TIG welding
• Operate and make minor adjustments to Robotic Welding Machines
• Comply with all safety regulations
• Use equipment including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, robotic welders, brazing torches, cutting torches, air arc cutting torches, jib cranes, and forklifts

Requirements

• Experience with MIG and TIG welding
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, and tape measures
• Ability to consistently produce quality products
• Must be reliable
• Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time
• Willing to work 40+ hours per week, including Saturdays
