Welder

About the role

The position of a Welder requires welding ovens and sub-assembly parts for ovens in Baxter's Manufacturing facility. Tig welding 25% and Mig welding 75% of the time, on stainless steel and mild steel. Material gauges range from .020 to .250.

Responsibilities

• Use tape measure, miscellaneous hand tools, hand drill, screw gun, and crane.
• Work with assembly and welding personnel in a team environment.
• Perform job tasks according to schedules using established safe methods and processes.
• Work independently towards team goals.
• Lift up to 50 lbs as required.
• Comprehend written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to stand, squat, or kneel for the entirety of the shift.
• Good attendance and ability to work safely.

Skills

• Proficient in Tig (25%) and Mig (75%) welding.
• Experience welding stainless steel and mild steel.
• Familiarity with material gauges .020 to .250.
• Mechanical aptitude and safe work practices.
• Ability to operate hand tools, drill, screw gun, and crane.

Pay

$21.98 - $26.10 per hour (DOE).

Schedule

Monday – Thursday, 5:00 am – 3:30 pm.
